Yesterday we had brunch at Royal T & checked out their "Warholian" exhibit, which included Warhol-inspired art, as well as art by Warhol himself. Greg is a really big Andy Warhol fan. It was really amazing!

Salads for days.

For the past two weeks, we've been eating a big salad for dinner almost every night. Seriously, I didn't know I could love salad this much! We pretty much throw in whatever we have on hand. Rice, beans, fruit, nuts, cheese and, of course, every vegetable imaginable.

Last night's salad was particularly delicious.

Bell Pepper

Avocado

Heirloom tomato

Mushroom

Quinoa

Freshly Shaved Parmeasan

Salt

Pepper..a lot of pepper.

New Year's Eve.

This was the first year we didn't do anything big & crazy for New Year's Eve. Instead we opted for a sweet dinner with our best friends. I love this quaint, little Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. It looks like some tiny hole in the wall you'd stumble upon while walking the streets of Italy.

We walked in and got a table right away.

It was perfect.

NYEE Cocktail Party.

I hope you don't mind the exorbitant amount of photos! Our New Year's Eve-Eve cocktail party was such a blast. I have to say I love my friends!

I styled the party with a little bit of Old Hollywood Glitz in mind. I was so happy our tree survived this long and it really was the star of the show!

Kat was such a fun co-host! She made all kinds of yummy treats like the best cheese dip ever and these crazy oreo cheesecake balls that she's famous for!

We also munched on arugula-parmesan salad, mushroom tarts, rustic bread with sundried tomato tapenade, a 2nd batch of cake balls and a great, big cheese plate.

Day after Christmas Boat Trip.

Greg and I started a new little tradition last year by taking the boat out the day after Christmas. It was cold and cloudy, but we had the best time!

Bowling Birthday.

Today is my beautiful friend, Christina (lovingly referred to as Styna)'s birthday!

It was a bowling party. Which makes it the 2nd bowling birthday I've attended in the past few weeks. Love it.

Over the weekend, Leila hosted a Gingerbread House Party at her place. We ate icing and candy and gingerbread.

It was seriously so much fun!

Our houses weren't the prettiest, but it was a blast. Her little cousins are the cutest.

First Christmas Gifts.

We kind of, sort of just opened the first Christmas gifts of the year on accident. Since the package didn't say who it was from we tore it open and didn't realize what it was before it was too late.

An old, abandoned project.

Over a year ago, my best friend and I started a little photo blog. She was living in Denmark at the time and I was here in LA and it was a fun way to keep in touch.

Back then I let the project stress me out.

I never liked my photos. I got lazy and wouldn't take them 'til the last minute. I always thought Leila's photos were so much better than mine.

I hadn't visited this blog in over a year, but today I took a look back at the photos. Some were self portraits done with a timer. Some were iPhone pics. Funny thing is, I started to actually like some of these. So I thought I'd share a few of my favorites.

It was so good to see some high school friends and the star of the show was my friend Lindsey's 2 week old baby, Addison Lilly! I love her. She is so cute I can't stand it.

After the cookie party, I met up with my cousin for her Birthday. A few of us went bowling and then to get pizza. Yum. I love this girl!

On Saturday I went to an annual cookie exchange at one of my best friend's house in Orange County, so Friday night I drove down to my parent's house to start baking.

My mom and I had some fun goofing around while baking 90 chewy molasses cookies!

I got a stomach ache from sneaking bites of cookie dough!

Little Holiday Parties.

A few nights ago we attended our first Holiday party of the season. It was so much fun and made me excited for the other events we'll be going to and hosting in the coming weeks. I love the Holidays!

I am hosting a NYE-Eve party with one of my good friends this year and I can't wait. I just finished designing the invite for it on Paperless Post. Can I just tell you how much I love this site? I told Leila I want to have a hundred parties just so I can design more invitations. They make it so easy & they look so chic.

Cupcakes at Native Foods.

Native Foods, the best vegan restaurant ever, just opened in our little neighborhood and I couldn't be more thrilled. In fact I went 3 times last week alone!

Today Greg and I went for lunch & cupcakes. Greg confessed he loves the chicken sandwich at Native Foods because it tastes like a McChicken Sandwich from McDonald's. I was laughing so hard. Who says that? I'm sure they would be very offended!

Oh, Christmas Tree!

The other day we went to the little Christmas tree lot over by our house with Leila. I was so excited to see all the pretty trees and the charming cafe string lights. Everyone was in good spirits and it really added to the experience.

The only thing that was missing that we had last year were little mugs of hot chocolate from the cafe across the street!

We had some fun with Leila taking pictures with some of the top contending trees. The one behind me is the tree we picked!

...and here's our lovely tree tied to our car ready to come home with us!

Our tree is just a little big for our tiny place. We're still not quite sure where to put it!
